The Unikko plate Ø25 cm from Marimekko is made of stoneware and is adorned with the beautiful Unikko pattern on the top. The plate is designed by Sami Ruotsalainen and the decoration by Maija & Kristina Isola. The Unikko pattern was created in 1964 after Marimekko's founder Armi Ratia had declared a ban on floral patterns. However, Maija Isola managed to persuade her with her lovely flowers and Unikko went into production. Today, the Unikko pattern is almost synonymous with Marimekko.
