The decorative dish is inspired by the famous painting The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli from the 1480s, where the Roman goddess Venus is carried on a shell after her birth from the sea. The object from the Kosta Boda Artist Collection is cast in a mold at Kosta Glasbruk.'
