The Kay Bojesen officer with sword from Kay Bojesen Denmark belongs to a collection of hand-painted soldiers inspired by the guards around the Amalienborg Castle. The first guardsmen were created in 1940 as a tribute to King Christian X on his 70th birthday. The collection includes Soldier with a rifle, the Drummer and the Fan Bearer, all proud representatives of Danish quality design.
