Ultima Thule lantern 65 mm from Iittala is a beautiful interior detail in mouth-blown glass designed in the 1960s by Tapio Wirkkala. When creating it, the designer drew his inspiration from ice and snow from the Nordic nature, which is evident in the surface's ribbed structure. The rounded base of the lantern rests on three small feet that resemble icicles, giving the lantern the appearance of floating slightly. The glass lantern is lovely to place on the coffee table or side table to create a cosy atmosphere in the room. You can also make the lantern part of your table setting along with, for example, glasses, plates, and bowls from the same series.
