The dinner plate from the Iittala Raami series has an unadorned expression with a discreet edge that puts the food in focus. The Raami series from Iittala is designed by the British product and furniture designer Jasper Morrison. Raami means frame in Finnish, and the philosophy behind the clean design language is that it should frame the atmosphere instead of being the centre of attention itself. The understated forms leave room for the atmosphere, food, drinks, and imagination. The Raami series is made of vitro porcelain, which has a warmer white tone than feldspar porcelain.
